Our beloved Marley “Monkey”
Marley Banner McPherson was more than a pet. Marley, our sweet “Monkey,” was our beloved son, our family, and a piece of our hearts that we will carry with us forever.
Before you came into our lives, I was terribly afraid of dogs. Little did I know that one special day in October would change my life forever. At just four weeks old, you came into our world so tiny and fragile. Many people said you wouldn’t make it through the night, but we refused to give up on you. We fed you milk by hand, loved you through those fragile first days, and from that moment on, we became inseparable.
Monkey, you didn’t just grow up in our home; you became the heart of it. You brought us so much joy, laughter, and endless adventures. You filled a void in our lives that we never even knew existed. You taught us about unconditional love, loyalty, and the incredible bond that can exist between a human and an animal. Somehow, the little puppy I was once so afraid of became one of the greatest loves of our lives.
There are no words that could ever fully express what you meant to us. The memories we made, the laughter you brought into our home, and the love you gave so freely will forever be treasured. Our lives are forever changed because you were a part of them, and we are so much better for having loved you.
We believe that God created all humans and all creatures, and that, in His time, we all return to His hands. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the love we shared with you was a gift from God. We are endlessly grateful that He chose us to be your family and gave us the privilege of loving you.
THANK YOU, MARLEY, for every memory, every adventure, every laugh, and every ounce of love you gave us. Thank you for changing our hearts, for teaching us a love we never knew we were capable of, and for being so much more than we could have ever imagined.
You may no longer be by our side, but you will forever be a part of our hearts. No amount of time could ever erase the paw prints you left on our souls.
Run free, our sweet Monkey. Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully in God’s loving hands.
You were loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and will never, ever be forgotten.
Forever our son. Forever our Monkey. Forever our Marley.
