Mocha

My family adopted Mocha as a puppy and when we got her she was dark brown. Naturally, we named her Mocha. Almost immediately she turned blond which I always found funny. It turned into a fun little ice breaker when people met her. When I moved out on my own I decided it was best that I take her with me and she became my little shadow. She’d follow me all around my tiny apartment, nearly walking right under my feet. As I tended to my plants on my porch she had a little tiny fold out chair she would hop in and hang out. Over the years she got too old to hop up so I’d pick her up and sit her in it. We’d sit outside for hours during the pandemic because there wasn’t much else to do. Mocha has been right by my side through some of the hardest parts of my adult life. Every new chapter included Mocha and I’m so thankful we were able to rock out for so long. In the end Mocha was just as feisty and stubborn as she’d always been and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Rest easy my sweet Mochi Bear. You’ll forever be missed.
