Obituary

Yesterday (7/6/26) I had to say goodbye to my sweet boy, Taz, and my heart is broken.

Taz came into our life in 2013 when I adopted him from One Love Animal Rescue. He was just a 14-week-old puppy, and from that day forward, he filled our lives with more love, laughter, and happiness than we could have ever imagined.

Taz had the funniest little personality. If he wanted your attention, he’d chomp his teeth until you noticed him. And if you were nearby, he’d always find a way to let you know it was time for his favorite thing in the world—a good scratch on his bum. Those silly little quirks made him uniquely Taz, and they never failed to make us smile.

Taz loved spending time with his dad, Robert. The two of them shared a special bond and had their own little games that always brought smiles and laughter. Their love for each other was unmistakable, and watching them together was a reminder of the simple joy that comes from unconditional love and companionship.

I believe that Taz has found his way back to his dad, who went to heaven before him. And they’re together again, playing those same little games, free from pain and surrounded by peace. The thought of their reunion brings comfort to my heart, knowing that two souls who loved each other so deeply are together once more.

For 13 wonderful years, Taz was so much more than a dog. He was family. He was our loyal companion, our source of comfort, our shadow, and one of the greatest blessings in our life. His unconditional love was a gift we will treasure forever.

The house feels quieter now, and there’s an emptiness that can’t be filled. But I know that love like his never truly leaves us. It lives on in every memory, every smile, and every place where I still expect to see him.

Run free, my sweet Taz. Chase the wind, feel the sunshine, and know that you will always be loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Thank you for choosing us to be your family. Until we meet again, you’ll forever have a place in my heart.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever my good boy.

Taz is survived by his mom Karen, Sisters Betty Boop, Lucy, Sugar and Karlie.
