| It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved dog, Yoshi, who left us at the age of 15 after a brave battle with Cushings Disease on Dec. 9th, 2025. Yoshi came into our lives as a tiny rescue pup from the Effingham Animal Shelter, and from that moment, he filled our days with lots of love and laughter. He was known for his intelligence and unique personality. He had a special way of communicating his needs. While he didn’t like to be cuddled, he still followed us around as an assurance that he’s not left alone. Before arthritis slowed him down, he delighted us with his tricks, offering hugs and shakes on command. Yoshi had a special role as the sous chef in our kitchen, eagerly tasting the food droppings that fell to the floor. Joan and I will forever miss Yoshi—our cherished companion and our "forever puppy." We hope to be reunited one day. Rest in peace, little Yoshi. You will always be in our hearts. |
